Amazingly Chelsea have managed to get two players in the top 10, and Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris joins them as the representatives from English clubs.

Check out the top 10 below…

=9) Vincent Enyeama, Lille and Nigeria

The Nigerian is one of the best African goalies in world football, and has been in great form for club and country in the last year.

=9) Hugo Lloris, Tottenham and France

Spurs’ number one has been playing brilliantly at White Hart Lane, and deserves a better defence than the London clubs’ in front of him.

8) Petr Cech, Chelsea and Czech Republic

Despite finding himself on the bench for the current season, the 32-year-old is in the top 10. Undeniably world class, it would be a shame if he did not find a club where he can be the number one before the end of his career.

7) Guillermo Ochoa, AC Ajaccio/Malaga and Mexico

One of the stars of the 2014 World Cup, the Mexican has seen his stock rise massively since being released by Ajaccio at the end of the last campaign.

However, he is still the number two at Malaga, which makes it strange how high he is in this list.

6) Sergio Romero, AS Monaco/Sampdoria and Argentina

Another who impressed at the World Cup, helping Argentina to the final. Despite being seen as prone to mistakes before the tournament, he was reliable between the sticks for his nation and hasn’t embarrassed himself at Sampdoria this season.

5) Claudio Bravo, Real Sociedad/Barcelona and Chile

The Chilean made the big move to the Catalan club at the same time as Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but he has managed to beat the highly rated German to the number one spot at the Nou Camp.

4) Gianluigi Buffon, Juventus and Italy

The experienced keeper had a vintage year, helping the Old Lady to the Serie A title.

3) Keylor Navas, Levante/Real Madrid and Costa Rica

His amazing performances for Costa Rica earned him a move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Confusingly Carlo Ancelotti still seems to prefer Iker Casillas for the big matches.

2) Thibaut Courtois, Atletico Madrid/Chelsea and Belgium

Helped Atleti to La Liga title and the Champions League final last season, and has continued that form for Chelsea since returning to Stamford Bridge. It is scary that he is only 22-years-old.

1) Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich and Germany

The German won the World Cup and the Bundesliga in the last 12 months. To top it off he redefined what a goalkeeper can do and is one of the finalists for the Ballon d’Or. Not a bad year.
