Here are the Arsenal ratings for their 3-0 win over Stoke City:
GK) David Ospina – 6.5
Made one howler, and conceded a disallowed goal, but made a number of good saves in his Premier League debut.
RB) Mathieu Debuchy – N/A
So unlucky to suffer such a nasty injury once again, looks to have sustained a dislocated shoulder after a nasty shove by Marko Arnautovic.
CB) Laurent Koscielny – 7.5
Got the Gunners off to a flying start with his sixth minute goal, and the defence looks so much stronger with him in it.
CB) Per Mertesacker – 7.0
A solid performance from the German, benefited from Stoke’s lack of pace.
LB) Nacho Monreal – 7.0
Looked like he may have to be taken off after an elbow to the face cut him open, but soldiered on and put in a good shift.
DM) Francis Coquelin – 7.5
His impetuousness could see him caught out by a better team, but his energy and desire to retrieve the ball is fantastic.
CM) Tomas Rosicky – 7.0
Instrumental in Alexis Sanchez’s first goal, and was excellent throughout the 90 minutes.
CAM) Santi Cazorla – 7.0
Another excellent performance from the Spaniard, couldn’t find the net on this occasion however.
RAM) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 7.0
A feature of the young Englishman’s game, a number of fantastic moves but not enough end product.
LAM) Alexis Sanchez – 9.0
Involved in every goal, grabbing two himself and assisting the first.
ST) Olivier Giroud – 6.5
Added a bit of much needed physicality, drew a couple of fantastic saves out of Asmir Begovic.
Substitute) Hector Bellerin – 6.5
Came on after ten minutes for the injured Debuchy. He performed well, particularly going forward.
Substitute) Theo Walcott – 5.5
Looked really rusty, and missed a fantastic chance to grab his first goal in over a year.
Substitute) Mesut Ozil – 6.5
Looked sharp on his return, and looks to be eager to make an impact.
