Two In, Two Out: Manchester City Set For £100m Striking Shake Up

City set to sell two to make way for double January buy.

Manchester City are set for a major attacking overhaul during the January transfer window, report the Daily Star, as Manuel Pellegrini looks to ensure that he has the firepower to beat Chelsea to the Premier League title after a 1-1 draw at Everton saw them fall two points off the pace.

The Etihad Stadium club are set to complete four striking deals worth a cool £100 million overall, with two players coming in and two making way – this is the breakdown:

Out) Stevan Jovetic

Striker Stevan Jovetic has never quite settled in Manchester since signing from Serie A giants AS Roma eighteen months ago – and Juventus are now set to offer the Montenegrin international a route back to the Italian top flight by offering £20m for the City forward.

In) Wilfried Bony (Swansea City)

City are already in negotiations with Swansea City about the transfer of powerful Ivorian centre forward Wilfried Bony – but it is expected that the Premier League champions will have to pay £30m to secure his services. As the top Premier League goalscorer during 2014, he should prove to be a real asset to City.

Out) Alvaro Negredo

Striker Alvaro Negredo joined La Liga giants Valencia on a loan deal in the summer, but with their takeover now having gone through, the Mestalla based side are set to complete the £25m deal to sign Negredo on a permanent deal, swelling City’s transfer kitty further.

In) Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon)

City are also looking to bring in Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, according to the report, with the French international set to cost the club around £25m. He has been in lethal form for the Ligue 1 high flyers this season and can bring both pace and versatility to the set up at the Etihad Stadium.
