Rodgers continues to look to persuade 20 year old attacker Raheem Sterling to a lucrative new deal as he looks to ward off interest from Real Madrid.

Midfielder Jordan Henderson will be offered a new improved deal with Rodgers looking to the former Sunderland man to fill the void that will be left by Steven Gerrard’s summer move to the LA Galaxy.

Centre-back Martin Skrtel will be offered a long new term deal with his current contract expiring in 18 months and the Slovakian is seemingly keen to remain on Merseyside, stating;

“It is a great honour for me to play seven years for Liverpool.

“We’ve had some great moments together and I am really happy I am part of this all. Liverpool are now in my heart.”

Finally young defender Jon Flanagan, who’s contract expires in the summer, will be handed new terms with Rodgers looking to the full-back to kick-on after a being out for much of the season with injury.
