Liverpool to loan Lucas Leiva to Napoli and sign Fabian Delph from Aston Villa as a replacement
Despite his return to the starting XI having coincided with an up-turn in form for Brendan Rodgers’ side, Lucas could be getting shipped out this January transfer window.
According to the Mirror Rafael Benitez is keen for a reunion with the Brazilian midfielder, who is not thought to be in Rodgers’ plans.
If Lucas were to leave then a move would quickly be made to sign Delph as a replacement – with the England international out of contract at Villa Park this summer.

Juventus considering loan move for Mario Balotelli
The Italian’s problems upon his return to the Premier League could be solved if Juve swoop in to sign the striker on a temporary basis.
The Times reports that La Bianconeri are considering a loan move for Balotelli, with the option to make it permanent for £14m at the end of this season.
Since arriving at Anfield from AC Milan for £16m the 24-year-old has managed to score just two goals in 18 appearances.

Before joining the Reds in 2013 Toure spent four years with City and says Bony will have to toughen up if he wants to succeed there.
“This is another step for Wilfried. He needs now to be mentally really strong because there are tough players there and the competition is tough,” the 33-year-old was quoted by the Daily Express.

However, goalkeeper Mignolet says that having Sterling (who is on a winter break) and Sturridge (who has been injured since August) back in the team will help change their fortunes.
“We feel that there’s a bit of momentum in the team now, but we’re not looking back. There are fixtures coming up that are really important to us, not just in the league but also in the cups,” the Belgium international was quoted by the Mirror.
Alvaro Arbeloa to make emotional return from Real Madrid
The Merseysiders are on the verge of signing a former player in the shape of Madrid full-back Arbeloa, according to the Daily Express.
The Spaniard spent two years in England before leaving for the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu alongside Xabi Alonso in 2009.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea are also being linked with the 31-year-old, but he would prefer a return to Anfield.
