10) Alex Mowatt, Leeds United

The young midfielder has been one of the few bright spots in Leeds’ terrible season. The 19-year-old has impressed with four goals so far this season in some committed performances at Elland Road. Everton and Aston Villa have been linked with a move for the prospect.

9) Glen Johnson, Liverpool

The full-back hasn’t been in the greatest form for the Reds, but at 30-years-old still has a few years left in him at the top level. With his contract up in the summer, a deal can probably be negotiated on the cheap for the former England international. There are several Premier League clubs that could be improved with the right-back.

8) Anderson, Manchester United

Once one of the most sought after youngsters in world football, Anderson is now the butt of jokes about his weight and hasn’t played for the Red Devils for months. However, he still undoubtedly has talent and there will surely be someone willing to take a punt on that either now or in the summer.

7) Shaun Maloney, Wigan

The Latics have kept a hold of the creative Scot since being relegated from the Premier League, but new manager Malky Mackay may be willing to let him go. A technically player with the ball, he could be available for just £1 million and Leicester City have been rumoured to be interested.

6) Nathan Redmond, Norwich City

A pacy young winger, Redmond was a regular starter in the Premier League during the last campaign. Still impressing now that he is in the Championship and with potential to burn, the England under 21’s star could be on his way to Liverpool.

5) David Marshall, Cardiff City

The goalkeeper was one of the Welsh side’s best performers during their ill fated season in the Premier League, and has been in good form again for the Bluebirds. Everton are apparently keen on a cut price deal to solve their current goalkeeping crisis.

4) Fabian Delph, Aston Villa

The England international’s contract ends in the summer and would be a fine arrival for many of the clubs attempting to break in to European competition this season. Liverpool are meant to be willing to sign him early in order to miss the rush that will surely happen if it is left until the summer.

3) Danny Ings, Burnley

Ings has carried his Championship goalscoring in to the Premier League, and has caught the eye of some potential suitors as a result. Alongside Charlie Austin he has shown that scoring is the same at every level. Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are all keen.

2) Ron Vlaar, Aston Villa

Targeted by Manchester United due to his links with manager Louis van Gaal, the Dutchman is another Villan whose deal finishes at the end of the current campaign. He would be a real bargain having been part of the Netherlands side that finished third in the World Cup.

1) Winston Reid, West Ham

The New Zealander has been a key part of the Hammers’ great season, and with his contract ending in six months is on the market for a small fee. That is if manager Sam Allardyce doesn’t want to keep him until the summer. Arsenal may pounce if he is allowed to move.
