Manuel Pellegrini has moved to strengthen his Etihad Stadium attack having seen his striking resources stretched this term with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic all spending time out on the sidelines.

The situation has been exacerbated by the fact that Man City elected to loan out Alvaro Negredo to Valencia and have had at times to opt to use unproven youngsters like Pozo up front and even left with no choice other than to turn to James Milner to fill the void as a makeshift forward.
The deal will cost Man City a reported £28m and no doubt Liberty Stadium boss Garry Monk will look to use those funds to sign a replacement this month.
Bony cost Swansea City a club record £12m when he moved to the South Wales club in July 2013 and has netted 34 goals in 56 starts.
