The Three Man United Stars Set For The Axe At Old Trafford: Classy Midfielder Set For Surprise Departure

Three players to be ditched by Van Gaal over the next few months.

Manchester United are still undergoing a massive facelift. Over the summer they spent heavily in a bid to inject the side with something to give the fans a reason to be optimistic again and despite being at the halfway point of the season Louis Van Gaal’s plans are not over.

Van Gaal has targeted three players to move on either this month or at the end of the season, and according to the Daily Mirror they will be moving on imminently.

Darren Fletcher

The Scottish international was once a stalwart of the United midfield, but he is now said to be interesting new West Brom boss Tony Pulis.

Having missed the peak years of his career through illness, there are questions as to whether he is the player that he once was, and his chances under Van Gaal have been extremely limited.

There’s no doubt he can still offer something to another Premier League side, but his time at the very top now looks to be at an end.

Tom Cleverley

‘El Clevs’ is currently out on loan at Aston Villa, and though he was once hailed as a future star when he first broke into the United side, he hasn’t managed to fulfil that potential.

It was hard not to feel sorry for the England international last season, as everything he did seemed to ear him criticism and abuse.

He’s not set the league on fire at Villa, but with links to Everton refusing to go away it’s increasingly unlikely that he’ll be offered a new deal to stay at Old Trafford.

Anders Lindegaard

The Denmark stopper is thought to be prepared to wait until the summer to leave Manchester if the right deal doesn’t come his way this month.

With the arrival of Victor Valdes last week, his time warming United’s bench is to come to a close and he can at least look forward to getting back on with his career elsewhere.
