Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Aston Villa have scored just one goal in their last six league matches, while Liverpool have won five of their last seven games in all competitions. Raheem Sterling is back for the Reds. This does not look good for Paul Lambert’s side.

Burnley 0-1 Crystal Palace

Burnley are quickly forging a reputation as the Premier League’s top entertainers. The Clarets have scored 10 goals in their last five games in all comps, conceding 11. However, their confident attack will not frighten Palace’s well-drilled defence. The Eagles have kept three clean sheets in their last four matches. Another shutout on Saturday should see then claim a crucial away win.

Leicester City 1-2 Stoke City

Stoke’s away record – 12 points from 11 games – is marginally better than Leicester’s home record – 10 from 10 – this season. The Potters should edge it.

Queens Park Rangers 2-1 Manchester United

QPR are in horrible form, but they will be bang up for this one. The Hoops seem to raise their game against the big boys, especially at home. Manchester City were unable to win at Loftus Road this season, and Liverpool were incredibly lucky to steal at 3-2 victory in West London back in October. This is the sort of game United could struggle in.

Swansea City 1-3 Chelsea

Swansea’s best player – Wilfried Bony – has been sold. Meanwhile, all of Chelsea’s star men – apart from Cesar Azpilicueta – are fit and available. This should be a routine away win.

Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Sunderland

Jermain Defoe will not be signed in time to make his Sunderland debut, which is great news for former club Tottenham, who are starting to click in attack. Spurs have scored 11 goals in four matches this year. The Londoners won this fixture 5-1 last April.

Newcastle United 1-1 Southampton

Everton, Chelsea and Liverpool have lost at Newcastle this season, but Southampton, who beat Man United at Old Trafford last week, are made of strong stuff.

West Ham United 3-1 Hull City

West Ham have won their last five home games against Hull and, looking at the relative form of the two teams, that run should be extended on Sunday.

Manchester City 4-2 Arsenal

Arsenal’s away record against the big teams is very poor. The Gunners lost 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium last season and another high-scoring defeat could be on the cards this weekend.

Everton 3-0 West Bromwich Albion

Everton were taken all the way to penalties in their FA Cup replay defeat to West Ham on Tuesday, so the Toffees will be glad that they don’t have to play again until Monday. There were many positives to take from their performance against the Hammers and, although their recent recents have been awful, one senses that Roberto Martinez’s team are very close to clicking. If they do click on Monday then the Baggies should beware!
