Here are the Chelsea ratings for their dominant 5-0 win over Swansea:
GK) Petr Cech – 6.5
He had one tricky save to make, but on the whole had very little to do.
RB) Branislav Ivanovic – 7.5
The Serbian international was dominant defensively and going forward as usual, played a major part in Chelsea’s fifth goal.
CB) Gary Cahill – 7.0
Largely untroubled, with Bafetimbi Gomis Swansea’s biggest threat to the centre-backs..
CB) John Terry – 7.0
Given very little to do, and may as well have not been there at times.
LB) Filipe Luis – 6.5
Largely anonymous, but solid defensively.
DM) Nemanja Matic – 7.5
Swansea struggled to deal with the physical presence of Matic in midfield, and the Serbian gave his side the platform to push on and attack.
CM) Cesc Fabregas – 8.0
He may not have been directly involved with every single goal, but he pulled the strings from midfield and put in a fantastic performance.
CAM) Oscar – 6.5
Despite netting twice, Oscar was poor today. His passing was way off, and he regularly played his teammates into trouble.
RAM) Willian – 7.0
The Brazilian is an enigma! He looked a constant threat on the attack, and should have scored several times. He contrived to miss however, striking the woodwork on multiple occasions.
LAM) Eden Hazard – 7.0
Not the Belgian’s best game, but still looked dangerous going forward.
ST) Diego Costa – 8.0
Grabbed himself two goals and was a handful for the Swans defence. Came close to his hat-trick, and showed excellent attacking instincts throughout.
Substitute) Ramires – 6.5
Brought on to sure things up, and did just that.
Substitute) Loic Remy – 6.5
Fairly uninvolved during his cameo role.
Substitute) Andre Schurrle – 7.0
A late substitute appearance, marked with a goal.
