Van Gaal hits out at super agent Jorge Mendes.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has risked escalating recent issues between him and Radamel Falcao, that came to light when the Colombian was left out of the squad for last weekend’s defeat to Southampton, by hitting out at comments made by the player’s agent Jorge Mendes, report the Express.

Arsenal boss Wenger slams the Ballon d’Or
Mendes, who also represents fellow United star David de Gea, had criticised the Dutchman’s decision to leave Falcao out of his 18 against the Saints, but the former Bayern Munich boss responded in typically forthright fashion by claiming that he wasn’t interested in either Mendes’ comments or any frustrations that Falcao may feel.
The feud is only likely to make it more difficult for Falcao’s proposed permanent move to Old Trafford to go through at the end of the season, with the former Atletico Madrid star currently only on loan at the club from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.
Van Gaal dismissed Mendes’ comments as “unhelpful” and suggested that the only way Falcao can play his way back into contention is by doing just that – putting in the performances and work in training that are required:
“His comments are unhelpful and they do not interest me.”
“The cost of a player is also not so interesting for a manager. It is the quality of the training sessions and quality in his matches.”
“Falcao has to prove himself. The decision will not be taken until the end of the year.”
