With Falcao’s Old Trafford future in serious doubt, here are five other striker signings who could prove better for the Red Devils…
1) Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain)
Valued at around £45m, Edinson Cavani could be available for a similar price and looks a better bet then Falcao at the moment, though Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid are also interested.

2) Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)
Recently subject of a £45m bid from Manchester United, Thomas Muller of Bayern Munich is another superb front-man worth pursuing.
3) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
Valued at around £40m, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema could be available in the near future and would also be a far better signing than Falcao.
4) Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)
Rumoured to be a £30m target for Liverpool, Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain would be another quality option worth considering in attack.
5) Paulo Dybala (Palermo)
One of the most highly-rated young strikers in the game at the moment, Palermo wonderkid has also been linked with United in recent times, and is valued at around £31m.
