The 27 year old former England man is seemingly not a key part of manager Mauricio Pochettino’s plans but chairman Daniel Levy still expects to secure a big fee for the former Leeds United man. This approach may prove to back-fire.

Bruce is ready to pay £6m for Lennon, a fair price given just how little action the speedy wide-man has seen of late.

Lennon has started just three Premier League games all season and was subbed on each and every occasion and with the likes of Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen delivering the goods it may be wise for Levy to cash-in on the long serving player whilst he can.

Tottenham paid Leeds United £1m for Lennon back in July 2005 and has at times looked like a real bargain buy but his form over the past two or three seasons has been average at best and a move away to pastures new may be best for all concerned.
