Chelsea were under pressure from word go at Anfield, but against the run of play managed to take the lead. They eventually succumbed to the Liverpool pressure, but were able to hold on for the draw.

GK) Thibaut Courtois – 8.0
One controversial moment when he appeared to handle the ball outside his area, but made some stunning saves throughout the match.
RB) Branislav Ivanovic – 6.5
Didn’t look his usual commanding self, as Liverpool’s dominance saw him pegged back a little.
CB) Johny Terry – 7.0
Solid at the back as ever, although was involved in a bizarre wrestling match with Raheem Sterling.
CB) Gary Cahill – 7.0
Struggled with Sterling slightly, but defended well overall.
LB) Filipe Luis – 7.0
Lazar Markovic proved a real handful at the start, but Luis stood fast and got forward well too.
DM) Nemanja Matic – 7.0
Restricted the space for Liverpool’s creative players and put in some vital tackles and interceptions, but wasn’t as fantastic in possession as he usually is.
DM) Jon Obi Mikel – 6.5
Solid in midfield, but understandably limited the control and creativity.
CAM) Cesc Fabregas – 7.0
Was starved of the space he needs to create, but showed his brilliance in a few fantastic moments.
RAM) Willian – 6.0
Tracked back and defended well, but was poor going forward and wasteful in possession.
LAM) Eden Hazard – 7.5
Couldn’t get on the ball as much as he would have liked, but was a constant threat when he did. Earned and converted the penalty.
ST) Diego Costa – 7.0
Was often Chelsea’s only real out ball, and gave the opposition centre-backs a real hard time; making sure they couldn’t relax.
