Atletico Madrid travel to the Camp Nou tonight to take on Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey quarter-final, and after dramatically beating Real Madrid in the previous round with a 2-0 home win and 2-2 draw away, Diego Simeone’s side are out to upset another Spanish giant.

Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 12 home matches against Atletico and have won 11 of their last 13 Copa del Rey matches – but even more impressive is Atleti’s run in the cup as they are undefeated in 19 of their last 21 Copa del Rey fixtures.

A certainly unpredictable tie – especially given Los Rojiblancos brushing aside of Real Madrid.

Simeone is likely to keep with Jan Oblak in goal after impressing in the 2-2 draw against Ancelotti’s side, and the now fully-fit Jose Gimenez could make a return to the starting line-up.

Fernando Torres has been in fine form and, as a player that struggles significantly without confidence, Simeone will be eager to keep the forward high in spirits. El Nino is almost certain to play as a lone striker so as to allow for offensive approach against the attacking Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Messi grabbed his second-consecutive hat-trick – his 30th career hat-trick and 22nd in La Liga – in the 4-0 win over Deportivo la Coruña on Sunday and the Argentinian is in sublime form.

Luis Enrique may feel inclined to stick with the same line-up he has used in the previous two matches with the formula seeming to get the best out of attackers Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

What’s more, given the first-leg of the quarter-final is at home and against the reigning La Liga champions the Barcelona boss is unlikely to rest key players.

Prediction: 1-2
