In the 2010 World Cup Suarez broke the hearts of Ghana fans when he blatantly used his hands to block the ball that was clearly heading into the net.

Suarez was sent off and Ghana were awarded a penalty, but Asamoah Gyan saw his spot-kick bounce off the cross-bar.

Uruguay progressed to the semi-finals after winning the penalty shoot-out 4-2.
