Tottenham Hotspur’s Emmanuel Adebayor made his first start since November on Wednesday night.
The Togolese striker captained Spurs, but he did not receive a skipper’s reception when he was substituted in the 65th minute to make way for fans’ favourite Roberto Soldado.
Adebayor was widely booed by the White Hart Lane crowd.
