Liverpool will be looking to keep up their good form having not suffered a defeat since their 3-0 collapse at Old Trafford in December and are unbeaten in nine games.

Bolton similarly come into the tie with significant confidence with only one defeat since the 31st of October.

Liverpool old boy Emile Heskey could start at his old club along with fellow veteran striker Ediur Gudjohnsen – however Lee Chung-Yong, Craig Davies, Marc Tierney, Mark Davies and Max Clayton are all set to miss the tie for the Wanderers.

Liverpool meanwhile will most likely rest Steven Gerrard with an eye on next week’s Capital One Cup semi-final second leg. Youngster Jordan Rossiter is expected to be involved whilst Glen Johnson, Joe Allen and Mario Balotelli could all feature after returning to full training in mid-week.

Surprisingly, despite the two sides meeting eight times in the FA Cup, Liverpool have won just two times against Bolton and have failed to score in three of their four FA Cup ties against the Trotters.

Bolton even won the last FA Cup meeting between the sides, although that was in 1993, but perhaps more worryingly for Liverpool, they have kept just two clean sheets in their last 17 FA Cup ties.
