Police have astonishingly been called to the Manchester City training ground on 31 separate occasions during the last five years, according to reports from the Daily Mail, with one particularly eye-catching incident being when youths were spotted lurking in the area with a javelin.

Neighbours Manchester United suffered from slightly less anti-social behaviour with officers called just 13 times at their Carrington training ground complex during the same period, but few of the incidents involving United are quite as bizarre as the call-outs at City that have been made public due to a freedom of information request.
Whilst the javelin incident is perhaps the strangest of the call-outs catalogued, there was also one occasion where a man was seen urinating within the grounds of the complex and one where a man who was wanted by the police was found and arrested hiding up a tree at the training ground and watching the club go through their paces.
