The 30-year-old has clocked up an impressive 342 appearances for the club during his long career, but has made just five appearances under new boss Louis Van Gaal this season.

Fletcher’s contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the current campaign, and as such he has been linked with a move to either West Brom or West Ham during the current transfer window.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has been credited with the most interest in landing his signature, though he recently confessed that he “can’t wait forever”.

“When he makes his mind up everyone will know,” added Allardyce.

“I don’t know what the timeline is. If any of the other packages offered to him are accepted then we would accept that.”

The Scotland international had joined the club on schoolboy forms and helped the side to pick up five Premier League titles a long the way.

He has also been a part of several FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup winning sides.
