Zabaleta was sent off in the clash between Manchester City and Chelsea, however the defender later tweeted this image asking how Costa was allowed to stay on the pitch.

Booed at the 2014 Brazil World Cup

The Brazilian-born striker played was called up to the Brazil squad in March 2013 for friendlies with Italy and Russia, however the 26-year-old controversially declared his wish to play international football for Spain in October of the same year.

Costa was inevitably booed by home-fans at the 2014 Brazil World Cup.

In Diego Costa’s first competitive match for Spain in their World Cup opener against Netherlands in Brazil, the striker had a poor performance and appeared to head-butt Bruno Martins Indi.
