The striker has been linked to both Chelsea and Arsenal, but it is AC Milan who look closest to his signature at the moment. The Rossoneri joint-CEO Adriano Galliani is the person who has made it clear that the 23-year-old will make a decision on whether to joint the Italian club soon.

“The lad knows everything, now he must decide,” Galliani said. “He will give us his answer tomorrow morning. I am neither optimistic nor pessimistic. It’s something that took him a little bit by surprise. He’ll think it over for a night, and that’s only fair.”

Destro impressed last season but has struggled for game time in the current campaign. Despite this he still has a relatively good goals to games ratio having scored five times in 16 appearances in Serie A, eight of which were from the bench.

Should the youngster decide to not join AC Milan then either Arsene Wenger or Jose Mourinho could well reignite their interest. However, both the Gunners and the Stamford Bridge outfit do have enough strikers at the moment, so a player leaving may be required first.
