1) Manchester United

Manchester United were linked with Cuadrado many times in the summer and looked big favourites to sign him. Louis van Gaal could certainly do with more quality in his squad after playing the likes of Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia as wing-backs for so much of the season. Cuadrado would be absolutely ideal in that role, but he has now slipped away.

2) Manchester City

With the likes of Jesus Navas and Samir Nasri simply not doing enough in Manchester City’s attack at the moment, there’s no doubt Chelsea’s weekend opponents will be wishing they’d forked out for the South American flyer.

3) Arsenal

With Theo Walcott constantly struggling with injuries, Arsenal could certainly have done with signing Cuadrado as an upgrade on players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while other attacking players such as Lukas Podolski, Joel Campbell and Yaya Sanogo have all left the club on loan this January.

4) Liverpool

With Raheem Sterling moving upfront, Liverpool are also short of real quality out wide after some inconsistent displays from the likes of Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic this season. Cuadrado is the real deal and would have fit Brendan Rodgers’ style of play perfectly.

5) Barcelona

Another club linked strongly with Cuadrado in the summer, Barcelona were known to be keen on the 26-year-old as a long-term replacement for Dani Alves at wing-back, and it’s hard to imagine the Catalan giants will find a better signing for that part of the pitch.
