Tottenham Duo Linked With Loan Moves To AS Roma Before Transfer Deadline

Spurs pair linked with Serie A moves.

AS Roma could land either Emmanuel Adebayor or Roberto Soldado on loan from Tottenham Hotspur before the end of the January transfer window, according to the London Evening Standard.

Spurs are prepared to let one of the two players go this month after their highly disappointing form upfront, and Roma are looking at bringing in a new striker as Mattia Destro joins AC Milan on loan.

Rudi Garcia’s side will now be short of quality upfront and are willing to gamble on one of these two Tottenham rejects, who have not managed to live up to expectations in the Premier League.

Harry Kane has been the club’s main man upfront this season, and it remains to be seen if Mauricio Pochettino will try to sign another forward player if one of Adebayor or Soldado does make the move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Despite their lack of goals, another exit without a new signing would leave Spurs well short of options and depth upfront.
