Mourinho returned to Chelsea in June 2013, after leaving his position at Real Madrid by mutual consent, and provided the Blues end the season strongly, they are on course to become Premier League champions for the first time since 2010, as they sit five points clear of reigning champions Manchester City.
The Portuguese is worshipped in West London, and Mendes believes that Mourinho’s love for the club and the city will see him remain in his position for at least the next decade:
The agent told the BBC:
“Jose will stay for sure.”
“He will be the Sir Alex Ferguson of Chelsea Football Club. He loves the supporters, he loves the city and I think he will stay there for more than 10 years.”
The Blues faithful will certainly be hoping that their ‘Special One’ is finally a long-term manager at the club, but the main focus lies on bringing the Premier League trophy back to Stamford Bridge.
