The England striker who only returned from five months on the sidelines scored at the weekend against West Ham in a 2-0 win for the Reds.

In an interview with BBC Match of the Day magazine the 25-year-old striker said his trademark celebration only came about because of the rule which states that if a player celebrates by taking his shirt off he will be booked.

“Back in the day the best celebration was the shirt over the head, but now that’s a yellow card – that’s how this one started,” he said.
