7. MLS 2013, NEW YORK RED BULLS 3-0 HOUSTON DYNAMOS
Cahill broke the MLS record for the fastest ever goal after scoring a stunning volley after just seven seconds during New York Red Bulls’ 3-0 win over the Houston Dynamos.
6. 2010 WORLD CUP, AUSTRALIA 2-1 SERBIA
Australia needed to win its final group game to give themselves a chance of progressing to the round of 16 at the 2010 World Cup, and Cahill got the Socceroos off to a great start after scoring a typically brilliant header.
The Socceroos went on to win the game 2-1, but Germany’s 1-0 win over Ghana saw the Aussies knocked out on goal difference.
5. 2004 FA CUP SEMI FINAL, MILLWALL 1-0 SUNDERLAND
Cahill’s match-winner in the 2004 FA Cup semi-final sent him into stardom and landed helped land him a contract at Premier League side Everton.
4. PREMIER LEAGUE 2007/08, CHELSEA 1-1 EVERTON
Not so much a massive moment in terms of the circumstances, but to score a bicycle kick at Stamford Bridge is something no player will ever forget.
3. 2015 ASIAN CUP, AUSTRALIA 2-0 CHINA
What a performance.
Australia were flat in their Asian Cup quarter-final clash with China, but Cahill lifted the roof off Brisbane Stadium with an incredible bicycle kick to put his side ahead.
Cahill then scored a powerful header to put the game to bed. The rest is history.
2. 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP, AUSTRALIA 2-3 NETHERLANDS
What can you say about this one?
Everyone has seen it, but you can’t stop yourself from watching it again.

1. 2006 WORLD CUP, AUSTRALIA 3-1 JAPAN
Cahill announced himself to the world after scoring a late double to help seal Australia’s 3-1 come from behind win over Japan at the 2006 World Cup.
With Australia 1-0 down at the 80th-minute mark, Cahill took the game into his own hands and bagged a double to secure his side the three points.
His first goal may have been scrappy, but it was the first ever in Australia’s World Cup history.
