1) Harry Kane IS the real deal

Two goals against Chelsea and now two goals in this huge game against Arsenal, Harry Kane continues to deliver the goods and has surely proven that he is the real deal now after some initial doubters. The 21-year-old is surely a shoe-in for Roy Hodgson’s next England squad and must be the most improved player of the season by some way.

2) David Ospina deserves credit

Despite seeing his clean sheet run ended with two goals conceded, David Ospina had another good game in goal for Arsenal, preventing Tottenham from scoring more as he made a number of fine reflex saves. The Colombian is surely going to continue as number one for the Gunners, looking far more convincing than the eccentric Wojciech Szczesny at present.

3) Tottenham can make the top four

Tottenham were superb throughout this game and are now ahead of their north London neighbours after moving fourth in the table. Mauricio Pochettino’s vision for the side finally seems to be coming together and there’s every chance they could stay in a Champions League spot by May, with Arsenal distinctly second best today and having another up-and-down season. In Kane and Eriksen they have two of the finest players in the Premier League and will be hard to stop.

4) Wenger went too defensive

Criticised for so long for being too attack-minded, Arsene Wenger was recently praised for changing his approach as Arsenal won 2-0 at Manchester City. Still, his team went too far in the other direction this afternoon and allowed Spurs back into the match, so perhaps it is back to the drawing board for the Frenchman, who just can’t win it at tactics, it would seem.

5) Ozil seems to be improving

One real positive for Arsenal is that Mesut Ozil was superb again this afternoon, scoring for the third game in a row and looking a far more confident player than we have previously seen in a red and white shirt. The German can surely help fire the club to fourth spot if he keeps playing like this, though some improvement from his team-mates would no doubt help.
