GK: Hugo Lloris (Tottenham Hotspur)

Just in ahead of Thibaut Courtois, Hugo Lloris does not have quite the same level of defenders in front of him as the Chelsea man, but continues to be top class in the Tottenham goal.

Chelsea transfer news

DR: Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea)

A superbly consistent performer, Branislav Ivanovic remains one of Chelsea’s most important players and is comfortably into this XI.

DL: Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea)

Not a left-back until late last season, Cesar Azpilicueta has made that position his own for Chelsea this season and now looks one of the best in the league.

DC: John Terry (Chelsea)

Back to his very best this season, John Terry has been a rock for Chelsea and is still one of the best defenders in England.

DC: Gary Cahill (Chelsea)

Another outstanding central defender, Gary Cahill’s form has been key to Chelsea’s success in this Blues-dominated backline.

MC: Nemanja Matic (Chelsea)

A hugely under-rated player, Nemanja Matic has been consistently superb for Chelsea this season as they look to cruise towards the title.

MC: Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)

World class alongside Matic in midfield, Cesc Fabregas is another easy choice for this London XI that has a very Blue look to it.

MR: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

The only Arsenal player to make our lineup, Alexis Sanchez has been far and away the Gunners’ best player this season and makes it onto the right flank.

ML: Christian Eriksen (Tottenham Hotspur)

A player continuing to improve in recent games, Christian Eriksen has arguably been more important to his team than Eden Hazard has been for Chelsea, and just pips the Belgian for a place here.

FC: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

A superb goalscoring talent, Harry Kane’s recent form for Tottenham has been tremendous and he undoubtedly makes it into the best London XI of the season.

FC: Diego Costa (Chelsea)

Finally, no surprises here as Chelsea striker Diego Costa takes the final spot upfront after leading the scoring charts in the Premier League and looking world class in his first season in England.
