Real Madrid Boss Ancelotti Claims Ibrahimovic Is A ‘Misunderstood Man’

Italian defends the striker.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has leapt to the defence of Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Over his 16 year career, the Swedish superstar has developed more of a reputation for being a reckless wind-up merchant than an exemplary leader – but Madrid boss Ancelotti thinks that’s undeserved.

The Italian manager was Zlatan’s boss back in PSG’s title winning 2012/13 season, and has nothing but praise for the divisive striker.

In a recent interview with Sport Bild, Ancelotti said, “He jokes and he is a very happy man, but he’s just kidding around. The image that people have of him is all wrong”.

“He loves to joke and that is just the way he is, but inside there is a great professional. He is a winning type – a fighter and a leader within the team.”

The former PSG manager went on the reveal an hilarious anecdote about how the forward approaches life “One time he asked me if I believe in God, so I replied yes, he then asked me: ‘Do you think God is me?”.

Ibrahimovic has scored 51 goals in 101 games for Sweden and has represented Juventus, Barcelona, Inter, AC Milan and PSG during his illustrious career.
