Here is how we expect PSG’s starting XI to look for the Champions League second round first leg clash against Chelsea.
With one of the most formidable front threes in world football, PSG will be looking to secure a first leg lead against Chelsea.
GK- Salvatore Sirigu
The Italian will be looking to bounce back after conceding two late goals in as many minutes at home to Caen in their previous game.
RB- Gregory Van Der Viel
The 27-year-old made his return in that draw with Caen with a substitute appearance after nearly a month out and is expected to make a return to the starting eleven against Chelsea
CB- Thiago Silva
The captain knows he’s in for a tough game defensively with the somewhat eccentric David Luiz expected to line up alongside him. Given Luiz’s ability to go AWOL, it will probably be Silva’s job to mark Diego Costa out of the game.
CB- David Luiz
It will be a big game for the centre back against his former club. He will likely be forced into playing as a more traditional centre back given Chelsea’s quality going forward.
