Read on to find out which members of Brendan Rodgers’ side have settled and started to find their best form, including three summer signings who initially looked like disappointing buys…

1) Simon Mignolet

Since losing his place for a terrible run of form, Simon Mignolet has responded brilliantly and made major improvements to his game. The Belgian goalkeeper now looks far more decisive and confident and has been a key figure in Liverpool’s improved defensive displays.

2) Emre Can

A terrific young player who had a slow start disrupted by injuries, Emre Can now looks a top performer in a number of different positions, and has even been tipped as a possible future captain of the club.

3) Mamadou Sakho

After an unconvincing first season and slow start to this, many were writing Mamadou Sakho off as something of a flop at Anfield, but the French centre-back has been superb in recent games and looks as rock solid as he did at Paris Saint-Germain.

4) Adam Lallana

Back to the kind of form we saw at Southampton, Adam Lallana has settled in at Liverpool now and looks an exciting and creative winger who fits Brendan Rodgers’ system perfectly. After just one goal and one assist in the first half of the season, the 26-year-old now has four goals and three assists in his last 14 games.

5) Lazar Markovic

Arriving at Liverpool as a promising youngster, Lazar Markovic initially looked a little out of depth at this level, but has improved dramatically of late and is showing the tremendous potential seen in him by a host of top clubs while he was still at Benfica.
