Barcelona Ace Lionel Messi In Champions League Warning To Manchester City

Messi insists Barcelona are fired up for the clash.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi has issued a warning to Manchester City ahead of their last 16 Champions League tie, insisting that the Spanish giants have got over the slip up to Real Sociedad.

Barca are currently on an 11-game unbeaten run, and cannot stop scoring, with Messi typically at the centre of the winning streak, and the Argentina captain is ready to add to his tally of 14 goals in the last 10 matches.

“The truth is that we are good,” Messi was quoted by the Daily Mail.

“Fortunately, after our poor start to the year after our game against Real Sociedad, everything changed for us,” the Argentine continued.

“We are now in a different dynamic and everything is going in the right direction. The team has confidence and there is a different attitude and a lot of determination. That is the reason why we are today where we are.”

The La Liga outfit are on the chase for three trophies, with a Copa del Rey semi-final to come and still pressing Real Madrid as they sit just a point behind the La Liga leaders.

With a trip to the Etihad next Tuesday night, Messi and co will be firing on all cylinders to secure that precious away goal, but with Sergio Aguero and Wilfried Bony to contend with – they know it won’t be straightforward.
