Tottenham Predicted XI Vs Swansea: Lamela To Replace Disappointing Townsend

Spurs have chance to quickly bounce back after their League Cup heartbreak.

Tottenham Hotspur were left grieving after their Capital One Cup final defeat to London rivals Chelsea on Sunday. Yet there’s no time for tears, as Mauricio Pochettino’s men are back in Premier League action, welcoming Swansea City to White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Fear Fresh Real Madrid Raid, Line-Up Move for Young German Talent as Replacement

GK – Hugo Lloris

An easy decision – Lloris firmly remains the club’s no.1.

RB – Kyle Walker

If the slight injury suffered in the League Cup final isn’t too serious, the right-back should continue his run of Premier League starts.

CB – Eric Dier

Federico Fazio is still struggling to adapt to the Premier League after arriving in August, with Dier the preferred partner to Jan Vertonghen.

CB – Jan Vertonghen

Often caught out at the back, but is still the best central defender the club have to offer.

LB – Ben Davies

Pochettino tends to rotate the left-back position, and with Danny Rose getting the nod at Wembley, Davies could start against his boyhood club.

CM – Nabil Bentaleb

Surely one of the first names on the team-sheet – the youngster is a driving force in central midfield.

CM – Ryan Mason

Another first of the team-sheet, Mason is beginning to establish himself alongside Bentaleb.

RM – Erik Lamela

Missed out on a place in the starting line-up for the Capital One Cup final, yet could be brought in, after Andros Towsend offered next to nothing on Sunday.

AM – Moussa Dembele

Pochettino has moved Dembele into a no.10 role, giving the midfielder a new lease of life on the pitch, and after also missing out on a start at Wembley, will be eager to impress.

LM – Christian Eriksen

Spurs’ second highest scorer this term – and netted the winner against Swansea earlier this season.

ST – Harry Kane

22 goals in all competitions in a signature season for the striker – need we say more?
