The Red Devils are on the lookout for ways to improve their shaky back line, with the form of goalkeeper David De Gea the only reason why they haven’t conceded a large amount of goals this season. Although these players won’t be able to make an immediate impact, manager Louis van Gaal is still interested.
18-year-old full-back Fulgini has played for France Under 19’s, while 16-year-old centre-back Upamecano has featured for their Under 17’s. They will face a tougher fight for the latter, with Arsenal, Inter Milan, PSG, and AS Monaco all competing with the Mancunian side for his signature. Neither player has made a single senior appearance for Valenciennes.
