Have United lost out on another transfer target?
Manchester United target Dani Alves, who will be a free agent in the summer, is reported to be in advanced talks with a Premier League club.
The Brazilian’s contract expires at the Camp Nou this season, and he’s yet to be offered a new deal – meaning he has been able to negotiate a move to another club since the turn of the year.
And the latest report from Spanish news source Mundo Deportivo says the right-back is in “very advanced negotiations” with an as yet unnamed Premier League club.
However, journalist Miguel Rico, who broke the Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea story last summer, says regardless of the contact he has with a club in England, he will not leave the Catalan club without first talking with the technical committee of the club.
The defender’s decision is therefore expected after El Classico on March 22nd.
United will seemingly be on the hunt for a right-back in the summer, with Louis van Gaal reluctant to trust Rafael and instead having to rely on Antonio Valencia and Paddy McNair to fill the problem slot.
