Out – Angel Di Maria

United’s record signing has really struggled to impress in the Premier League, and already looks set to be sold at the end of this season, with Paris Saint-Germain interested in the £60m Argentine.

In – Gareth Bale (Real Madrid)

If rumours are to be believed, United’s first choice to replace Di Maria would be another Real Madrid Galactico in Gareth Bale, who is unsettled at the Bernabeu this season.

Out – Radamel Falcao

Another big-name who has flopped at Old Trafford, Radamel Falcao looks unlikely to stay at the club beyond his loan spell, which ends in the summer as other clubs start to show an interest.

In – Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)

Still a legend at United, Cristiano Ronaldo is wanted back at the club as speculation grows that Real Madrid could look to cash in on him while they can, with the 30-year-old possibly past his peak after a recent dip in form.

Out – Michael Carrick

Linked with a surprise move to AC Milan, Michael Carrick has been unable to maintain a regular place in the United side this season and could do with replacing in the midfield engine room.

In – Lars Bender (Bayer Leverkusen)

Also a top target for Arsenal, United have been linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender as an alternative to the injury-prone AS Roma star Kevin Strootman, and the German looks an ideal Carrick replacement.
