Daisy Cleverley (New Zealand)

The New Zealander scored their absolute beauty during the Under-17 Women’s World Cup. Cleverley picks the ball up near the halfway line, running to just short of the edge of the penalty area, before unleashing a great strike.

Heather O’Reilly (USA)

O’Reilly hits an absolute of a bullet of a strike, straight into the top corner, during USA’s clash with Columbia, in the 2011 Women’s World Cup.

Erika (Brazil)

During the same tournament, Brazilian Erika shows an awesome bit of skill to flick the ball over her opponent, before rifling a volley straight past the keeper.

Marta (Santos)

The Brazilian legend is arguably the greatest the women’s game has ever seen, and this goal shows why. She flies through the defence, takes it round the keeper with little fuss, before tucking it home with a rabona kick.

Stephanie Roche (Republic of Ireland)

Possibly the most famous ever scored in the women’s game. Roche flicks the ball up, takes it away from the defender, and then volleys home from the edge of the area. The goal was so good that it was nominated for the Ferenc Puskas Award for goal of the year.
