Perhaps into his final season with Chelsea, veteran striker Didier Drogba may fancy one more shot at extending his playing days with a move to the MLS, and he’d fit right in alongside legendary names such as Kaka and David Villa.

2) Ashley Cole (AS Roma)

Making a surprise move to AS Roma from Chelsea last summer, Ashley Cole has not impressed in his time in Serie A and could try a move to the US instead.

3) Glen Johnson (Liverpool)

No longer a regular performer for Liverpool, Glen Johnson looks past his best and could move abroad at the end of this season, with the MLS surely a possibility.

With injuries really taking their toll on Robin van Persie, it has been suggested the Dutchman could leave Manchester United this summer, and the MLS may be a surprise destination for the 31-year-old, who looks past his best at this level.
