1) David Luiz (Paris Saint-Germain)

David Luiz proud composure to PSG in a midfield position against Lens and opened the scoring with this deflected set-piece effort.

2) Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG)

The best player in the division is a talismanic figure for Paris and could well be capable of inspiring the capital club to the title.

3) Baptiste Aloe (Marseille)

Injury and suspension to others have forced youngster Aloe into the starting line-up for OM, but the 20-year-old delivered an unruffled performance and scored his side’s second goal.

4) Mario  Lemina (Marseille)

Another stop-gap addition to OM’s defence, but Lemina-typically a central midfielder-impressed at right-back. A new calling, perhaps?

5) Giannelli Imbula (Marseille)

The Franco-Congolese midfielder was a typically dynamic, tenacious presence for OM, impressing with his tackling and driving his side forward with some useful dribbles.

6) Nabil Fekir (Lyon)

The darling of the weekend’s games, Fekir has been instrumental in Lyon’s youth revival and looks likely for a long career with the French national side…unless, of course, he changes his mind again.

7) Alex Lacazette (Lyon)

The France striker was a devastating presence for OL against MHSC, scoring a brace-one suspects his showing will give the Montpellier defenders nightmares for sometime.

8) Andre Ayew (Marseille)

The OM playmaker has been in superb form since returning from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. He’s desperate to win the title, will he succeed this year?

9) Michy Batshuayi (Marseille)

Instant impact from striker Michy Batshuayi against Toulouse, as he gave OM the lead inside three minutes. He added a second before half-time, putting the tie firmly beyond Le TFC.

10) Yoann Gourcuff (Lyon)

The elder statesman of this Lyon side appears to have found a new lease of life in Ligue 1 and firmly put his troubles behind him. Against Montpellier he demonstrated, once again, his superb touch and excellent passing vision.
