A player who couldn’t get into the Manchester United team as a youngster, Paul Pogba has since risen to become one of the best midfielders in the world at Juventus and is wanted back at Old Trafford.


2) Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool)

Played out of position at Chelsea, Daniel Sturridge’s career has taken off since being given a chance upfront at Liverpool, where he has been one of the Premier League’s best strikers.

3) Romelu Lukaku (Everton)

A top class young player who would surely be a better option than Loic Remy or 37-year-old Didier Drogba to rotate with Diego Costa at Chelsea, Romelu Lukaku was allowed to join Everton this summer.

4) Danny Welbeck (Arsenal)

Back at Old Trafford to score against Manchester United for Arsenal this week, Danny Welbeck has had a good season and looks a better option than the likes of Radamel Falcao right now.

5) Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

Shipped out at Barcelona to make room for Luis Suarez, Alexis Sanchez has had a fantastic season at Arsenal and looks like one the Catalan giants could regret letting go.

6) Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg)

A player lighting up the Bundesliga this season, Kevin De Bruyne has been a revelation for Wolfsburg but for some reason couldn’t get more of a look in while at Chelsea last season.

7) Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad)

Rarely used by Arsenal as a youngster, Carlos Vela has really raised his game since moving to La Liga with Real Sociedad, looking a highly capable forward or winger.

8) Gerard Pique (Barcelona)

Signed at a young age from Barcelona, Manchester United then let Gerard Pique go back to the Nou Camp before really trying him in their first-team. The Spaniard is now regarded as one of the best in the world in his position.

9) Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich)

Despite starring for Chelsea in his youth, Arjen Robben was allowed to leave for Real Madrid after just three seasons, and he has continued to look utterly world class, particularly at Bayern Munich.
