“We will make Man City suffer” – Barcelona midfielder fires warning

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has warned Manchester City that the Spanish giants aim to make them suffer ahead of the second-leg tie at the Nou Camp in the Champions League.

The former European champions lead 2-1 from the first game, and Iniesta believes the best way to maintain their advantage is to dominate possession throughout the game and make Man City chase the ball.

Having not won the competition since 2011, Barcelona are suffering a drought of some sort given the fact that they won the Europe’s premier club competition twice in two years.

“We need to have lots of ball possession so they suffer, so they are chasing the ball,” Iniesta told reporters (via the Mirror).

“We need to have a lot of skills and it’s about minimising their potential. If we don’t achieve that, Manchester City can achieve their own objectives.

“We have to control what is going on at every different moment, that’s what we have to do.”

Barcelona’s defence is there weakness and Iniesta’s constant referral to ball possession is evidence of that, his teams isn’t able operate if they are without the ball for large spells.
