Chelsea predicted line up vs Hull City: Mourinho’s men unchanged from Southampton draw

Chelsea will go into their Premier League clash with Hull City hoping to extend their lead over Manchester City at the top of the table, and Jose Mourinho is likely to keep faith with the same starting eleven that could only draw with Southampton last time out.

The biggest matches of the Premier League season, with Liverpool v Man United and Arsenal v Chelsea

Here is how we expect the Blues to line up at the KC Stadium:

GK- Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian came agonisingly close to keeping Dusan Tadic’s penalty out against the Saints, so will be looking to keep a clean sheet with Petr Cech still in contention.

RB- Branislav Ivanovic

Ivanovic has been a key part of Chelsea’s success this season, but he was criticised last time out for a couple of questionable tumbles in the box. His reaction seemed to do damage to some fairly genuine penalty claims.

CB- Gary Cahill

The England defender has started the last four games in all competitions, so should keep his place ahead of Kurt Zouma.

CB- John Terry

The captain squandered a brilliant chance late on against Southampton, but he is enjoying a great spell of form at the back so should put that behind him.

LB- Cesar Azpilicueta

Azpilicueta hasn’t missed a game since the draw against Burnley in February, so should keep his place again.

CM- Cesc Fabregas

The midfielder is going through a difficult spell for his club, and will be keen to prove his critics wrong with a good performance against Hull.

CM- Nemanja Matic

Matic gave away the penalty that led to the equaliser for Southampton, so will be keen to make amends in this game.

AM- Eden Hazard

The crafty winger has been Chelsea’s player of the season, and will be keen for a repeat of the last time they played Hull, where he bagged the opener.

AM- Oscar

Oscar hasn’t completed a full ninety minutes since playing Liverpool in the Capital One Cup in January, so it would not be a surprise to see him not finish the game.

AM- Willian

A series of solid performances from Willian continue to keep Juan Cuadrado on the substitute bench, and this match should be no different.

ST- Diego Costa

The striker ended his long drought for a goal with the header against the Saints that put Chelsea in the lead. He will be hoping that goal sparks a long run of form.
