Former Manchester United player and Aston Villa legend Dion Dublin has given up commentating on the beautiful game for a new career path, as he is set to host daytime television show Homes Under the Hammer.
Alongside football, properties were always Dublin’s hobby, and the former striker turned defender was delighted to land the role and step away from the game which has occupied most of his life.

“I still want to achieve. I want to learn the art of presenting,” Dublin told BBC Radio Five Live.
“I sat down with Lucy and Martin, who gave me words of advice.”
As we prepare to see Dublin in a non-footballing environment, we’ve decided to relive some of his greatest on field moments.
1. Dublin’s infamous cheeky goal.
Dublin is the reason why all keepers are now taught to observe a 360 degree turn before dropping the ball in their penalty area for a long kick.

As he dovetailed between central defender and striker positions, Dublin was still capable of producing moments of magic as he did here for Aston Villa.
3. Dublin vs Robbie Savage
Normally a calm character, Dublin snapped at national wind-up merchant Savage and gave him a solid head-butt.

Dublin’s transformation into a central defender was cemented during his time at Norwich City and he became a good one at that.
