(Goals & video highlights) England 4-0 Lithuania: Harry Kane makes lightning start to his international career

Harry Kane was the hero at Wembley, scoring the final goal just eighty seconds after coming on to make his international debut.

Slovenia stayed second in the group, holding onto an automatic qualification spot, after they dismantled San Marino 6-0.

They opened the scoring after ten minutes through Fiorentina midfielder Josip Ilicic, but failed to add to their lead inside the first-half.

However, in the second-half the floodgates opened, with Kevin Kampl, Andraz Struna, Milivoje Novakovic, Dejan Lazarevic, and Branko Ilic all getting in on the action. San Marino have now conceded seventeen times in the current campaign, and are yet to score themselves.

Despite a superior goal difference, Switzerland remain in third, having lost to Slovenia last year. But, victory over Estonia has created some daylight between themselves and the bottom three sides in the group.

Basel defender Fabian Schar continued his fantastic goalscoring start to his international career, getting his fifth goal in just eleven appearances for the national side.

Ten minutes later, Granit Xhaka doubled the lead, and effectively killed the game off inside the opening half-hour.

Haris Seferovic completed the rout with ten minutes to go.
