Arsenal rumours

Recent reports suggest the Gunners may end up looking close to home for inspiration, with six big-name Premier League players all being linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Including some ambitious moves and raids on their rivals, these are the England-based players seemingly wanted by Arsenal this summer:

1) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

Linked in today’s Daily Mirror with a surprise move to Arsenal, Liverpool star Raheem Sterling is a big-name Premier League star seemingly on the club’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window as he stalls on signing a new deal at Anfield.

2) Radamel Falcao (Manchester United)

In another surprise move, Arsenal have also been linked with a bid for Manchester United loan striker Radamel Falcao by the Daily Mirror back in January. The Colombian international has struggled at Old Trafford but could be offered another chance to shine in England at the Emirates Stadium.

3) Chris Smalling (Manchester United)

Earlier this week the Daily Express reported a £12m Arsenal bid for Manchester United defender Chris Smalling in what could be a double raid on the Red Devils. The England international could be a useful addition for the Gunners at the back after some disappointing form from Per Mertesacker this term.

4) Petr Cech (Chelsea)

The London Evening Standard has also claimed Arsenal could make a raid on rivals Chelsea this summer for long-serving goalkeeper Petr Cech, who is wanted by Arsene Wenger to replace out-of-form shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny.

5) Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton)

Arsenal may already have a deal in place to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin in the summer, with the Daily Star claiming the Gunners have agreed a move for the powerful Frenchman.

6) Victor Wanyama (Southampton)

According to the Metro, another Premier League raid by Arsenal could come in the form of another move for a Southampton midfielder as they eye a £20m move to sign Kenyan international Victor Wanyama.
