Chelsea rumours

GK: Thibaut Courtois

Still first choice in goal for Chelsea, Thibaut Courtois could have Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Rob Green as his backup next season according to recent rumours.

DR: Branislav Ivanovic

A world class right-back and a hugely important part of this Chelsea team, no change here with Branislav Ivanovic continuing in defence.

DL: Cesar Azpilicueta

Despite the presence of Filipe Luis, Cesar Azpilicueta remains the undisputed first choice at left-back for Chelsea and should be again next season.

DC: John Terry

Having recently signed a new contract with Chelsea, long-serving defender and captain John Terry should still be part of the starting lineup next term.

DC: Raphael Varane

There could be some change at the back, however, with Real Madrid youngster Raphael Varane linked with the Blues again and possibly arriving to provide more competition for Gary Cahill.

MC: Nemanja Matic

A superb defensive midfielder, Nemanja Matic has shown no reason for being dropped or replaced next term and makes it into this lineup.

MC: Koke

Cesc Fabregas’ dip could see him replaced, however, as Atletico Madrid playmaker Koke is linked with Chelsea again after some superb form in La Liga.

AMR: Gareth Bale

Reports in the Daily Mail state that Chelsea still want Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale this summer, and the Welshman would surely fit in well on the Blues’ right flank.

AML: Eden Hazard

A huge name still sure to command a place in the first eleven, Eden Hazard remains on the left-hand side for Chelsea.

AMC: Oscar

An outstanding young talent who is already one of the club’s most important players, Oscar should remain a regular starter in the number ten role.

FC: Diego Costa

Despite surprise rumours suggesting a move for Tottenham Hotspur flop Emmanuel Adebayor, there’s little reason for Diego Costa to fear for his place upfront.
