The Belgian-born star is being offered a treble-your-money offer by the French champions, and could be tempted into leaving Old Trafford this summer.

It’s a similar scenario to that which saw Paul Pogba join Juventus in 2012, after running down his contract with Sir Alex Ferguson and co.

Pereira, a Brazilian youth team international, joined United from PSV Eindhoven in 2011, but has only made one Premier League appearance since making the step-up into the first-team last year.

According to the Daily Star, United have offered the player a new deal worth just £6,000-per-week, while the Paris side are offering an impressive £22,000-per-week, more than three times what he’d earn staying in England.

Despite the pressure from the French capital, Louis van Gaal is desperate to hang onto the promising midfielder, who made his debut in the 3-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur last month.
