Arsenal transfer news

1) Robin van Persie (Manchester United)

A player who looks past his best, Robin van Persie has had a really disappointing season for Manchester United and has been linked with a surprise move to Fenerbahce. Surely the Dutchman has to step up in the final few games of the season to have any chance of saving his Old Trafford career?

2) Radamel Falcao (Manchester United)

On loan from AS Monaco and struggling to even get into the team, Radamel Falcao’s time at Manchester United may already be up, but surely a late run of form similar to what he’s produced for most his career could persuade the Red Devils to make his move permanent?

3) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

Stalling over signing a new contract with Liverpool, Raheem Sterling has come under criticism and perhaps rightly so – the 20-year-old remains an inexperienced youngster and needs to show how much he’s worth, both to Liverpool and to potential buyers.

4) Theo Walcott (Arsenal)

Plagued by injuries and with an inconsistent career as a whole, Theo Walcott is slowly finding himself out of the picture at Arsenal and may need some big performances between now and the end of the season to persuade the Gunners to stick with him.

5) Yaya Toure (Manchester City)

An absolute beast for Manchester City last season, Yaya Toure has looked far worse this time round and could be offloaded to Inter Milan for a very tempting £43.5m.

6) Angel Di Maria (Manchester United)

Supposedly wanted by Paris Saint-Germain this summer, Angel Di Maria has been a big-money flop for Manchester United and needs to turn things around before the end of the campaign to persuade the club he’s been worth the money.

7) Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)

With Petr Cech possibly set to be allowed to leave Chelsea, has Thibaut Courtois really done enough to establish himself as the undisputed number one at Stamford Bridge? He is in no danger of being sold, for sure, but would it be better to keep Cech around as a backup for at least one more season?

8) Edin Dzeko (Mancheste City)

Not currently a regular for Manchester City, Edin Dzeko has struggled to justify being a continued member of their first-team down the years, and will surely not get many more chances after this season.

9) Romelu Lukaku (Everton)

With his agent Mino Raiola talking up a move to a bigger club, Romelu Lukaku probably needs to up his game for Everton this season after a slightly underwhelming first year at the club since joining permanently from Chelsea.

10) Jack Wilshere (Arsenal)

Another Arsenal star who has had his career derailed by numorous injuries, Jack Wilshere could be close to a return and has to make the most of his playing time if he gets it, with Francis Coquelin impressing in his absence and big names like Morgan Schneiderlin linked with the club in midfield.
