After Real Madrid’s 9-1 victory against Granada earlier in the day, the gap was closed to just a point as the race for the La Liga title heats up.

The game has been seen as a potential banana skin for the Catalan giants as Celta Vigo shocked the league with a 1-0 win at the Nou Camp back in November.

But the league leaders have responded well to that set-back, winning the last seven in a row in all competitions which has seen them reach the Champions League quarter-final and book a place in the Copa Del Rey final.

The home side have been in a mixed run of form over the last five games, winning two, losing two and drawing once and are looking for the win which would take them back into the top ten.
